This event is no longer on sale.

Monday July 10

9:00 AM  –  3:00 PM

Spend a week (or five!) this summer experiencing Japanese culture at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden!  Boys and girls ages 7 through 12 can try many Japanese hands-on activities in beautiful Japanese House and Garden in West Fairmount park.

Each week ends with a special camper-led tour and performance for their parents and guardians!

Campers will experience a different theme each week.  Sign up for any or all of the offerings.

This week, campers will experience the Monsters, Myths, and Heroes of Japan!

Discover the daring feats of Peach Boy or the spine tingling tales of oni (ogres) or yokai (ghosts) in this week that focuses on the stories of Japan. Campers will learn about traditional folktales while creating their own. Activities will include building a wooden miniature kamishibai theatre from which they can perform their own paper stories.
