Four–Day Intensive Yukata-Kimono Sewing Workshop.  

Join us for this one-of-a-kind workshop led by Rumi Hirayama, a professional kimono tailor, or wasaishi. Classically trained, Rumi Sensei will work with registrants to create a custom tailored yukata, or summer cotton kimono, and instructed on how to wear it properly. This workshop will take place on June 5^th, 6^th, 9^th, and 12^th, from 9am to 5pm with cloth selection and sizing taking place May 27^th or 28^th at Shofuso. Yukata cotton bolts can be purchased from Rumi Sensei for $200 at the May 27^th, 28^th, or June 4th sizing or can be brought from home with instructor approval.

Registration for this workshop is very limited and is intended for adults who can make all four dates.

This workshop will take place in Wynnefield Heights, a 10-minute drive from Shofuso.
