Ikebana in the Greenhouse
During the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival the JASGP, in partnership with Ikebana International, will be hosting Ikebana Flower Arranging Workshops that will give participants a chance to try this traditional Japanese art form. These workshops will be hosted on Saturday April 13th at 1pm and Sunday April 14th at 2pm in the Horticulture Center's main green room. Participants will get hands on experience from very experienced artists and get to take home their arrangements afterwards.
The Ikebana International Chapter 71 will be creating flower arrangements throughout both days of the festival as well, so if you miss out on these workshops you can still see them in action throughout the weekend!
**Please bring a tote bag or some carrying container in order to take home your flower arrangement
**Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop
**These workshops will be held at the Horticulture Center (Not Shofuso) during the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival. Be sure to arrive early to deal with traffic, park and find your way to the building. Parking can be found off of Belmont Ave. for $10 during the festival.
